Chinese President Xi Jinping’s recent attendance at the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in South Korea, along with his first state visit to the country in 11 years, strengthened China’s role in Asia-Pacific cooperation, promoted multilateralism, and reinforced China-ROK relations. Xi attended over ten bilateral and multilateral events, including a historic meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, easing tensions and boosting global market confidence. He emphasized open development, inclusive globalization, technological innovation, and a shared Asia-Pacific future. Xi also announced that Shenzhen will host the 33rd APEC meeting next year. The visit advanced China-ROK strategic cooperation, accelerated free trade negotiations, and promoted mutual understanding with other regional leaders.
