Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday urged officials to ensure a strong start to the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030). Speaking at a Party School session for top officials, Xi emphasized the need to upgrade China’s industrial system, develop advanced manufacturing, and build modern infrastructure.
He highlighted balancing economic growth with improving people’s quality of life, maintaining a reasonable share of manufacturing, and integrating investment in physical assets with human capital. Xi also stressed strengthening the Party’s leadership and fighting corruption.
Top leaders, including Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, and Vice President Han Zheng, attended the session. Li Qiang called on officials to turn Xi’s guidance into concrete action for high-quality development.
