President Xi stresses pooling strength of working class for rejuvenation of Chinese nation

On Monday, Chinese President Xi Jinping called on the country’s workers to work hard and help turn China’s national goals into reality. Speaking at a ceremony celebrating the 100th anniversary of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, Xi praised workers, farmers, and intellectuals for their contributions. He honored over 2,400 model workers and exemplary individuals and stressed that trade unions must always follow the leadership of the Communist Party. Xi said workers should focus on innovation, high-quality development, and riding the wave of new technology to help modernize China. He urged the whole society to respect and learn from model workers and called for continued efforts to improve workers’ well-being and strengthen trade unions.
