Chinese President Xi Jinping said that China and the United States have held in-depth economic and trade talks and reached consensus on solving several issues.
Speaking in Busan during his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, ahead of the APEC summit in Gyeongju and his state visit to South Korea, Xi emphasized that trade should serve as a stabilizing force in bilateral relations, not as a source of conflict.
He urged both nations to focus on the long-term benefits of cooperation instead of engaging in cycles of retaliation and called on their trade teams to keep reducing disagreements while expanding areas of collaboration based on equality, respect, and mutual benefit.
