Xi Jinping, chairman of China’s Central Military Commission, signed an order commending all personnel involved in the military parade marking the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
The order praised the troops for delivering a spectacular parade that carried forward the spirit of the resistance war, reflected contemporary characteristics, showcased China’s stature as a major country, and demonstrated the strength of a powerful military. It highlighted the armed forces’ role in defending national sovereignty, security, and development interests, as well as safeguarding world peace.
The order called on all units and service members to learn from the troops reviewed in the parade and to work toward the centenary goal of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army while accelerating the development of a world-class military.
