President Xi Jinping: Explanation of the Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Certain Major Issues concerning Persevering with Full and Rigorous Party Self-Governance

The full text of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s explanation of a Communist Party resolution on strict self-governance was made public on Sunday. Xi presented the explanation at the fifth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee in Beijing, outlining the need to strengthen Party discipline and oversight. The resolution focuses on improving political education among Party members, strengthening the management and supervision of officials, enforcing discipline, fighting corruption and improving Party rules and oversight systems. Xi said these measures are aimed at strengthening the Party’s leadership and supporting China’s modernization goals.
