President Xi Jinping congratulates Yoweri Museveni on re-election as president of Uganda

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday congratulated Yoweri Museveni on his re-election as Uganda’s president.

In his message, Xi highlighted the long-standing friendship between China and Uganda, noting strong mutual support on core interests, fruitful cooperation across multiple fields, and effective coordination in international and regional affairs. He praised Museveni’s commitment to developing bilateral ties and expressed readiness to deepen political trust, advance the China-Uganda comprehensive strategic partnership, and implement outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation for the benefit of both peoples.
