On Monday, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki officially inaugurated Poland’s new government. The approval process for Morawiecki’s cabinet by the lower house of parliament is scheduled to unfold in the next two weeks.
In the afternoon, Morawiecki presented a proposal to President Andrzej Duda for the establishment of a fresh Council of Ministers. A government spokesperson revealed that the cabinet boasts a mix of experts without prior political experience and seasoned politicians with specialized knowledge.
Noteworthy appointments in the new government include Szymon Szynkowski vel Sek as the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mariusz Blaszczak retaining his position as the Minister of National Defense, and Marlena Malag taking on the role of Minister of Development and Technology.
