Peng Liyuan’s European journey bridges cultures

Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, concluded her six-day tour in Europe with a visit to Hungary, engaging in cultural exchanges and diplomatic engagements to strengthen ties. In Hungary, Peng explored cultural landmarks such as Buda Castle and a Hungarian-Chinese bilingual school, fostering mutual understanding between the two nations. She emphasized the shared cultural heritage between China and Hungary and expressed hope for increased cooperation in cultural preservation and education. Peng also visited France’s Orsay Museum with Brigitte Macron, admiring art and advocating for cultural exchanges. In Serbia, she toured the National Museum, highlighting the importance of museums in preserving cultural heritage and promoting dialogue between civilizations. Throughout her journey, Peng aimed to enhance cultural understanding and cooperation between China and the visited countries.
