Peng Liyuan, Polish president’s wife visit China’s national center for performing arts

Peng Liyuan, the wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Agata Kornhauser-Duda, the wife of Polish President Andrzej Duda, visited the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing. Agata Kornhauser-Duda is accompanying the Polish president on his state visit to China. The two first ladies toured the NCPA facilities and viewed an art exhibition on Beijing’s intangible cultural heritage, highlighting Chinese craftsmanship.

Peng Liyuan remarked on the rich histories and cultural traditions of both China and Poland, noting the increased cultural exchanges in recent years, which have deepened mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations. They enjoyed performances of traditional Chinese folk music, Peking Opera, and piano compositions from both countries. Agata Kornhauser-Duda praised the Chinese artists’ performances and expressed her enthusiasm for further cultural exchanges and cooperation to enhance the friendship between the Chinese and Polish peoples.
