Peng Liyuan calls for continued youth engagement in AIDS prevention

Peng Liyuan, WHO Goodwill Ambassador for Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS, joined a campaign on AIDS prevention at the University of Science and Technology Beijing ahead of World AIDS Day 2024. She encouraged student volunteers to promote awareness and highlighted China’s progress in AIDS prevention. The event included interactive activities like discussions and plays to educate participants. Peng also visited an exhibition showcasing a decade of HIV/AIDS awareness efforts in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, meeting students, medical staff, and volunteers. International representatives and experts also attended, emphasizing youth involvement in keeping campuses AIDS-free.
