The medals for the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics will feature a distinctive hexagon-shaped piece of iron taken from the Eiffel Tower at their center, according to the organizers. The decision aims to make the medals unique and singular. The design was created in collaboration with the Paris 2024 Athletes’ Commission and French jewelry house Chaumet, ensuring the athletes’ input in crafting these special medals. The Paris Olympics are scheduled for July 26 to August 11, followed by the Paralympics from August 28 to September 8.
