Palestinians in Gaza’s largest hospital, Al Shifa, are reportedly digging a mass grave to bury patients who died amid Israeli encirclement. Israeli forces claim the hospital is above Hamas militants’ underground headquarters, but Hamas denies this, stating that patients and displaced civilians are trapped, facing constant fire. The International Committee of the Red Cross has not provided protection for the planned mass grave. The hospital lacks fuel for generators, putting 36 babies from the neo-natal ward at risk. Although Israel offered portable incubators for evacuation, no arrangements have been made, and the hospital is allegedly still under siege, with conflicting claims about exit routes. The situation remains challenging and raises international concerns, including from the United States.
