According to Yonhap News Agency, over 10,000 trainee doctors in South Korea have reportedly tendered their resignations in objection to the government’s proposal to increase the enrollment of medical students. The country’s health ministry disclosed that 9,006 trainee doctors have already departed from their respective work locations.
