Oracle announced plans to invest over $6.5 billion to establish its first public cloud region in Malaysia, marking one of the largest tech investments in the country. The new cloud region will help modernize applications, migrate workloads, and support data and AI-driven innovation for Malaysian organizations. This is Oracle’s third cloud region in Southeast Asia, with the other two located in Singapore. Other tech giants, such as Microsoft, Google, and Amazon, have also made significant investments in cloud services across Southeast Asia, contributing to the region’s growing digital infrastructure.
