A shooting occurred at a Bangkok mall, resulting in one fatality and six individuals wounded, as confirmed by an emergency medical service official. Initial reports suggested three deaths, but this was later corrected. Among the injured, two are in serious condition. A 14-year-old suspected gunman has been arrested and is under interrogation. Security footage shows the suspect appearing to surrender inside a store.
The Siam Paragon mall, a popular shopping destination in Bangkok, was locked down during the incident. Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin expressed concern for public safety and offered condolences to the victims’ families. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
