The president of the Eiffel Tower’s operating company, Jean-Francois Martins, announced that the Olympic rings for the Paris Games will be displayed on the iconic monument. The installation of the rings will commence at the end of the month, following the departure of the Olympic torch from ancient Olympia in Greece. Positioned on the Seine side of the tower, the rings will symbolize the city’s involvement in the upcoming Olympics. The Eiffel Tower will play a central role in the Paris Olympics, serving as the 38-kilometer point of the marathon and hosting the beach volleyball event at its base. Additionally, the Olympic flame will be located at the Jardin des Tuileries, near the Louvre. The Games are scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11.
