Nine dead, thousands wounded as pagers explode in Lebanon

At least nine people were killed and thousands injured across Lebanon on Tuesday when pagers exploded, with some 200 critically wounded. Hezbollah claimed the blasts were part of an Israeli “security operation” targeting the devices, though Israel has not commented. Lebanese officials condemned the explosions, and Hezbollah vowed retaliation. Many victims suffered injuries to their faces and hands, with some requiring amputations.
