Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce announced their engagement on Tuesday with a joint Instagram post showing Kelce proposing in a flower-filled garden and Swift flashing a diamond ring. The couple, both 35, joked in the caption, “Your English teacher and gym teacher are getting married,” referencing Swift’s song So High School. Together since 2023, they’ve been regulars at each other’s concerts and games. The news comes as fans await Swift’s upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl, set for release on October 3, following her record-breaking Eras tour and 2024’s The Tortured Poets Department.
