A new set of U.S. entry restrictions under President Donald Trump took effect Thursday, affecting both immigrant and non-immigrant travelers. The measures include full entry bans on nationals from several countries, including Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, Syria, Laos and Sierra Leone, as well as individuals holding Palestinian National Authority travel documents. Partial restrictions were imposed on nationals of 15 other countries across Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
