China is set to send a new pair of pandas, Jin Xi and Zhu Yu, to Spain next week. The giant pandas will begin their 10-year residency at a zoo in Madrid after departing from Chengdu, Sichuan Province, on April 29. This follows the return of the previous panda pair, Bing Xing and Hua Zui Ba, along with their three cubs, after more than a decade in Spain. Jin Xi and Zhu Yu are currently in good health and undergoing quarantine procedures before their journey.
