Nepal’s Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal said the country does not plan to seek separate climate compensation from China or any other individual country. Instead, Nepal will pursue climate-related support through international frameworks such as the UN climate convention and the Paris Agreement.
Khanal thanked China for its assistance following the recent mudslide and said both countries share the Himalayan ecosystem and face the effects of climate change. China also pledged to continue supporting Nepal’s disaster relief efforts and work with the international community to address climate change. Credit : CGTN
