Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks and Scottie Barnes of the Toronto Raptors have been selected as injury replacements for Joel Embiid and Julius Randle in the upcoming NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis. Randle suffered a shoulder dislocation, while Embiid has a knee injury, preventing them from participating. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver chose Young and Barnes as replacements. Despite Young missing out on fan, player, and media votes, his impressive recent performances, averaging 29.6 points and 11.6 assists per game, earned him a spot. Barnes, in his third year, will make his All-Star debut with notable stats of 20.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game.
