NASA has chosen SpaceX to launch the Dragonfly mission, a rotorcraft lander designed to explore Saturn’s moon Titan. Scheduled for launch between July 5 and July 25, 2028, aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket, the $256.6 million mission will study Titan’s surface, habitability, and potential signs of life. Dragonfly will use its unique rotorcraft to sample various sites and analyze the moon’s prebiotic chemistry, focusing on areas where carbon-rich material and liquid water may have interacted.
