China Media Group (CMG) launched its “nanny robot expo” in Beijing on Tuesday, showcasing how robotics are transforming daily life and smart home technology. The event, themed “robotic revolution in everyday life,” highlights uses of robots in areas such as healthcare, home management, family education, and community services.
Visitors could interact with robots through competitions, experiencing firsthand how they assist with household tasks. CMG also premiered a new micro-documentary series called Hi Robot, which explores recent advances in home-service robotics and includes interviews with over 30 experts, company founders, and international users.
CMG released a report during the expo that shows rising demand for elder care and highlights new technologies like autonomous decision-making and self-evolving robots. CMG’s Zhou Zhenhong said the broadcaster is committed to both documenting and promoting China’s progress in tech innovation. The expo is part of a broader effort by CMG to encourage the growth of robotics through similar events and competitions.
