Several of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees and appointees were targeted by bomb threats and swatting incidents, the Trump transition team announced. Swatting involves falsely reporting emergencies to provoke a heavy police response. Those targeted included Susie Wiles, Pam Bondi, Elise Stefanik, Howard Lutnick, and Brooke Rollins. Authorities quickly ensured their safety, and President Joe Biden was briefed, condemning such threats. The incidents follow earlier assassination attempts on Trump in July and September.
