Russia’s Foreign Ministry denied reports that Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez is in Russia, calling claims circulating in some media outlets “fake news,” according to TASS. Spanish media had earlier reported that Rodriguez spoke to Venezuelan state television from Moscow after the U.S. attack on Caracas, but Cuban news agency Prensa Latina later said she remains in Venezuela. The denial came as Venezuela’s Supreme Court appointed Rodriguez as acting president following the capture of Nicolas Maduro by U.S. forces.
