More than 20 people die due to India’s heatwaves

Scorching heat has caused more than 20 deaths in various states of India, NDTV reported on Friday. In the eastern state of Bihar, 15 people died in the Aurangabad district, while another 10 deaths occurred in Rourkela city, Odisha. Some media sources suggest the death toll in Bihar could exceed 50, but this has not been officially confirmed.
