More than 20 may be missing after flash flood in US Grand Canyon

More than 20 people are missing after a powerful flash flood hit Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona on August 29. The flood caused major damage in Bright Angel Canyon, destroying nearly all footbridges over Bright Angel Creek and trapping hikers in the area. So far, 62 people have been evacuated, while rescue teams continue searching for those still unaccounted for. Parts of the park and the Colorado River have been closed as officials warn that more heavy rain and thunderstorms could trigger additional flash floods and rockfalls. Credit : CGTN
