World Humanoid Robot Games will be held in Beijing from August 22 to 26, featuring over 30 events focused on humanoid robotics and “embodied intelligence.”
Organizers said the competition will include both athletic-style contests and real-world scenario challenges, testing robots in tasks such as running, football, gymnastics, industrial work, and household activities.
The event aims to showcase rapid advances in robotics, with more emphasis this year on real-world applications like factory work, emergency response, and service roles, alongside traditional sports-style competitions.
