Meta Platforms said it will suspend teenagers’ access to its AI characters across all its apps worldwide while it develops an updated version for teen users. The company said the new AI experience will include parental controls and follow PG-13 content guidelines. The move comes after criticism over the behavior of some AI chatbots and increased scrutiny from U.S. regulators over the impact of AI on minors. Meta said the new controls have not yet been launched but will be added once the updated system is ready.
