Lionel Messi has been named in Argentina’s 26-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The squad also includes key players such as Lautaro Martínez, Julián Álvarez, Enzo Fernández, Emiliano Martínez, Rodrigo De Paul and Alexis Mac Allister, with 17 members of the 2022 World Cup-winning team returning.
Argentina will begin their campaign on June 16 against Algeria in Group J, after warm-up matches against Honduras and Iceland earlier in the month.
