Lionel Messi ‘proud’ of Miami Inter’s accomplishments in his first MLS season

Lionel Messi expressed satisfaction with Miami Inter’s performance in his first season in Major League Soccer (MLS). He highlighted their achievements, including winning the Leagues Cup, reaching the final of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, and being competitive in the MLS playoffs race. Messi scored 11 goals in 14 appearances for Miami. While they didn’t make the playoffs, his presence significantly impacted the team’s performance and boosted ticket and merchandise sales. Messi looks forward to improving and aims for greater competitiveness in the next season. The managing owner of Miami, Jorge Mas, credited Messi with transforming the MLS, filling stadiums even in away games. Miami also plans to visit Barcelona for a match as a tribute to Messi’s illustrious career at the club.
