Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah reiterated on Sunday that Kuwait will not normalize relations with Israel unless a future Palestinian state is established in accordance with international resolutions. He emphasized that maintaining relations with friendly and allied countries is crucial for Kuwait’s security and interests abroad. The minister affirmed that the Palestinian issue is of paramount importance to Kuwait and stated that Kuwait has consistently supported the Palestinian cause. He characterized Israel’s actions in Gaza as retaliatory rather than defensive. The foreign minister called for an immediate end to hostilities in Gaza, providing aid to the besieged region, and emphasized the need for a resolution to the Palestinian issue through the creation of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.
