Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said Russian and Ukrainian officials met in Abu Dhabi to discuss sensitive issues, including prisoner exchanges. U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll also met them unexpectedly, though Ushakov said the U.S. peace plan was not discussed. He noted that the U.S. proposal still needs serious analysis and expert review.
The 28-point peace plan announced by President Donald Trump has been revised after input from Ukraine and European partners. Trump said his envoy Steve Witkoff will visit Moscow next week and that Jared Kushner is also involved in the process. Ukraine supports the updated framework but says key issues must be resolved in a possible meeting between President Zelenskyy and Trump.
