At China’s 15th National Games in Guangzhou, two-time Olympic gold medalist Sheng Lihao won the men’s 10m air rifle title for Jiangsu Province with a score of 254.6 points on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old, already a world champion and eight-time World Cup winner, led the final from start to finish, earning his first National Games gold. Sheng had previously won bronze in the mixed team event at his debut four years ago.
The event featured Olympic champions Liu Yukun of Shaanxi and Zhang Changhong of Shandong, but Sheng maintained a two-point lead in the final shots to secure victory. Jilin’s Wang Yutong took silver, and Liu Yukun claimed bronze.
