Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said on Sunday that Israel has no plans to hold direct talks with the Lebanese government in the coming days. His statement contradicted a Haaretz report suggesting Israel and Lebanon could meet soon amid escalating fighting with Hezbollah.
Speaking in northern Israel, Saar called on Lebanon to take “serious steps” to stop Hezbollah attacks and emphasized Israel and the US remain committed to confronting Iran until their objectives are met. He also dismissed reports of a shortage of missile intercept
