Israel’s military announced that around 20 fighter jets carried out strikes in western Iran, targeting missile sites and military personnel, following Iranian missile attacks earlier that day. Israel said it also hit trucks carrying missiles as they reached launch points.
Iran’s strikes injured 271 people in Israel, according to the Health Ministry, with four seriously hurt. A missile struck a building at Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. Iran claimed it targeted Israeli military command and intelligence sites, with only minor damage near the hospital.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, visiting the hospital, warned that no one is immune from retaliation, hinting at possible future strikes even against Iran’s top leadership.
Since “Operation Rising Lion” began, over 2,300 people in Israel have received treatment, with 21 in serious condition. The ongoing cross-border attacks mark a major escalation following Israeli airstrikes on June 13, which ignited the conflict. So far, about 600 people have died in Iran and 24 in Israel.
