Officials said Israel plans a larger offensive in Gaza, possibly seizing the entire territory, after the U.S. President Trump’s Middle East visit next week.
The move follows failed ceasefire talks with Hamas. Israel already controls about a third of Gaza and may expand operations, relocating civilians south and preventing aid from reaching Hamas.
Aid distribution could shift from international groups to private companies. The military has not confirmed full occupation plans.
A ceasefire deal may still be possible during Trump’s visit. If not, Israel says it will launch “Operation Gideon Chariots.” Hamas demands a full ceasefire, Israeli withdrawal, and prisoner releases.
