Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that the exchange of fire with Iran is currently “on hold,” warning that Israel will respond with force if attacks resume.
His remarks came after a brief de-escalation following missile exchanges between the two sides, with both Israel and Iran signaling a temporary halt to strikes. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz also said Israel would continue operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon and respond to any attacks on northern Israel.
Israel later lifted most civil defense restrictions nationwide, while hospitals returned to normal operations and schools prepared to reopen. Iranian authorities also said aviation services were resuming and signaled a pause in strikes, though both sides warned that any renewed aggression would trigger stronger retaliation.
