Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue to achieve a sustainable nuclear agreement during a phone call on Sunday, marking their second discussion this week. They exchanged views on the latest developments in indirect nuclear talks between Iran and the United States. In an earlier call on Wednesday, they reviewed the results of the Geneva negotiations and discussed the steps for drafting a negotiation framework. Araghchi stressed Iran’s focus on preparing a preliminary and consistent framework for future talks, while Grossi described the Geneva discussions as positive and confirmed the IAEA’s readiness to support the process. Araghchi also indicated that Tehran plans to submit a draft of a potential nuclear deal to the U.S. delegation within two to three days. The renewed negotiations are taking place amid rising tensions between Iran and the United States and a U.S. military buildup in the Middle East.
