Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned that Iran would respond “harshly” to any aggression after U.S. President Donald Trump renewed threats of military action. Trump said the U.S. would strike Iran if it resumed its ballistic missile or nuclear weapons programs.
Iranian officials rejected the warning, with Supreme Leader adviser Ali Shamkhani saying Iran’s missile and defense capabilities cannot be restricted and that any attack would trigger an immediate and severe response. The exchange comes amid heightened tensions following Israeli airstrikes on Iran in June and subsequent U.S. bombings of Iranian nuclear facilities at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan.
