High-level Iran–US talks under the MoU concluded in Switzerland with mediators Pakistan and Qatar saying the discussions were “positive” and made “encouraging progress.”
Both sides agreed to set up technical negotiations, a political oversight committee, and a 60-day roadmap toward a final agreement. A deconfliction mechanism was also created to monitor ceasefire compliance in Lebanon.
Iran’s foreign minister said progress had been made on issues like exports, sanctions relief, and reconstruction planning, though key disputes remain. The Strait of Hormuz issue is still tied to conditions on Israeli military activity in Lebanon, showing that major sticking points are unresolved.
