The country has slowed its 60% enrichment rate, a move reported by the Wall Street Journal, potentially easing tensions with the U.S. Iran’s 2020 law permits increased enrichment if the nuclear deal isn’t upheld. Iran had breached the 2015 nuclear deal’s limits after the U.S. withdrew in 2018. Despite enriching to 60%, Iran denies pursuing nuclear weapons.
