Iran’s UN envoy, Amir Saeid Iravani, stated that Iran denies responsibility for actions by any individual or group in the region, responding to accusations made by the U.S. envoy in a letter to the French envoy. Iravani rejected claims of militia groups affiliated with Iran being involved in actions against U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria, emphasizing that no group affiliated with Iran’s armed forces operates under its control. He further criticized the U.S. actions in Iraq and Syria as “illegal and in violation of international law and the UN Charter.”
