Iran said Wednesday that it had received a US response to its latest proposal to revive the collapsed Gulf ceasefire. Both sides reportedly agree on the steps needed for a deal but disagree on the order. Iran has proposed that the US lift its blockade of Iranian ports while Iran reopens the Strait of Hormuz within seven days. Although oil shipments through the region have recovered to about 80% of pre-conflict levels, energy flows remain disrupted. Iran also criticized the UAE for hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, warning that Israel’s regional presence could have serious consequences.
