The 20th Western China International Fair (WCIF) opened in Chengdu on May 25, 2025, featuring advanced technologies and diverse products. Over 3,000 companies from 62 countries and regions are participating.
For the first time, the fair has two guest countries of honor: Laos, showcasing tea, coffee, furniture, and handicrafts; and Hungary, presenting 17 companies in wine, medical devices, and eco-friendly water treatment.
Lao Deputy Prime Minister Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune praised the fair for boosting international business cooperation and market connectivity. Indonesian exhibitor Fransisca Pauline Tjandra, attending for the first time, is promoting handmade accessories and teaching craft workshops to introduce Chinese visitors to Indonesian culture.
The event, hosted by the Sichuan provincial government, runs through Thursday.
