Bolivia recently launched its first modern integrated steel plant, marking a major step in its industrialization. With an annual capacity of 200,000 tonnes, the plant is expected to create thousands of jobs and boost related industries. The project is part of China-Bolivia cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which aims to enhance global connectivity through infrastructure and trade.
The BRI has played a key role in economic development worldwide, with flagship projects such as the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and Cambodia’s Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone driving regional growth. China continues to promote international cooperation through initiatives like the Global Development Initiative and partnerships with Africa, focusing on trade, industrialization, and social development.
Amid global economic challenges, China remains committed to open trade, innovation, and collaboration, reinforcing its role in global development and South-South cooperation.
