The 38th Hundred Flowers Awards opened in Beijing on August 7, returning to the city where the audience-voted film awards began 64 years ago. The opening ceremony featured Dear You stars Li Sitong and Wang Yantong performing alongside veteran actors Zhu Shimao and Cong Shan, bringing together different generations of Chinese cinema. The celebrations include screenings and film events across Beijing, with the main awards ceremony set for August 10. Winners of eight major categories will be chosen live by 101 audience judges, continuing the awards’ tradition of letting moviegoers have the final say.
