Huawei and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) are collaborating to conserve Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park and Reserve on Kenya’s south coast. This three-year project aims to protect endangered species like green turtles and bottlenose dolphins while enhancing monitoring and management through advanced technology. Huawei will deploy underwater cameras, photogrammetry, and audio monitoring to collect real-time data on marine life and detect illegal fishing. The project aligns with Huawei’s TECH4ALL initiative and IUCN’s Green List, aiming to boost marine ecosystem resilience and benefit local communities.
